Merit Scholars On October 18, 2021, the Lockport Township High School Board of Education recognized Cameryn DeBlecourt, Eileen Ferriter, Sophia Marcial, and Benjamin Staley (pictured above) for achieving the status of Semifinalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. The Board also recognized Emily Formella, Braeden Goebbert, Michael Hasso, Matthew Martinez, Abigail Obradovic, and Benjamin Roark for earning National Merit Commended status from the program. The four LTHS semifinalists have an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships in the spring. Students were selected after taking the 2020 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test as juniors. The nationwide pool of semifinalists, representing less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest-scoring entrants in each state. | |
